What is RF (Radio Frequency)?

By passing charged particles in a closed circuit in the form of electromagnetic waves, a radiofrequency current is generated. When radiofrequency waves pass through tissue, they encounter tissue resistance and apply their energy as the temperature rises in the tissue. The higher the resistance of the tissues to the passage of current, the greater the temperature increase in that tissue. Since the highest resistance is related to the skin and adipose tissue, the passage of radiofrequency current causes an increase in temperature in these tissues. Depending on the frequency of the device and the degree of resistance of the tissues, systems equipped with radiofrequency have different mechanisms of action. The frequency of radiofrequency waves is in the range of radio waves (3kHz-300GHz). When the radiofrequency current in the tissue is resisted, it causes the temperature in the area to rise. The higher the resistance of the tissue to the passage of current, the higher the amount of heat in the target tissue. (Maximum resistance is in adipose tissue and skin, respectively)

When is the CET handpiece used?

Features of RAFOS device
